Privacy Policy

Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Keln Inc. ("Keln," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the keln.ai website (the "Site") and the inference services we provide (together, the "Services").
Keln operates the Services directly. To serve a request, we route it across a fleet of independent third-party compute providers. We route only to providers that operate zero data retention and have stated that they serve inference in memory only and do not store your content or train on it. We review these providers' stated practices periodically. A provider could change its practices without notice, and if we learn that a provider no longer meets our zero-retention standard, we stop routing to it. You interact only with Keln. Providers never receive your identity or brand.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you sign up, contact us, or fill in a form, we receive your name, email, organization, and anything else you choose to share, along with any related business correspondence.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting infrastructure receives standard log data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps. We use it to keep the Site running and secure. See Cookies below.
Inference request data. When we serve a request, the prompt and generation are processed in memory only to produce a response. Keln does not store prompts or completions anywhere, not at the edge, not in our logs, and does not use them to train models. We retain only operational metadata (timestamps, token counts, latency, model, routing outcome, status) for billing, reliability, and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- Operate, route, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Respond to questions and provide support.
- Measure reliability, enforce provider quality, detect abuse, and secure our infrastructure.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use prompts or completions to train models.
Sharing
We share information only with parties that help us run the Services, and only as needed:
- Compute providers that serve inference on our behalf. We route only to providers that operate zero data retention and have stated they do not store or train on your content.
- Cloud and hosting providers that operate our platform and website.
- Payment processors that handle billing.
- Authorities when required by law, or to enforce our terms and protect rights, safety, and property.
- An acquirer in a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business.
Cookies
The Site uses a small number of essential and preference cookies, for example to remember your light or dark theme and to keep the Site running. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work as expected.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Keln does not retain prompts or completions. Operational metadata about requests is kept for a rolling window sufficient for billing and reliability, then deleted or aggregated.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Email contact@keln.ai to exercise these rights, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
You can delete your account and its associated data at any time, wherever you live, by emailing contact@keln.ai. We remove your account and contact information and keep only the limited metadata we are required to retain for legal or business-operations reasons, for example invoice and payment records kept for tax and accounting, and records of terms violations kept to prevent repeat abuse. This metadata never includes your prompts or completions, since we do not store those at all.
California residents. You have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), including access and deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland residents. Where required, our legal bases are legitimate interests, contract performance, legal obligation, or consent. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries with different data protection rules. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Site.
